I did a Global Math Dept talk once, but it was the only one ever that the audio recording dropped out on (sad face). I&#8217;ve collected a box of those mailers that they send me, but you could find some of them online. Then you can make a task where the kids use exponential growth to see if they can manage life with a credit card. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/b5hc31kmwwer78a\/Compound%20interest%20with%20credit%20cards.doc?dl=0\">Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve used in the past<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Stock market games are always fun, even though there isn&#8217;t too much math involved unless they are doing some next level modelling and regression and what not. I had kids go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/game\/\">Marketwatch<\/a> and play a game with the rest of the class to see who can make the most of their $100,000 investment.<\/li>\n<li>My co-worker has a bunch of <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1mdmMlPl1tpdV5eodrNyY7IS-pSJMFp8IwT84azL8bgg\/edit\">projects<\/a> he uses for a lot of the formulas that use exponential growth for financial purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking of Exponential Growth here is a little lesson on exponential vs. linear growth that is a play on that whole &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitashealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/rice-on-chessboard.jpeg\">grain-of-rice-on-the-chessboard<\/a>&#8221; thing:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<!-- iframe plugin v.4.5 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1W4BoxuJ3HvHdnwN1jjyX5lioa2qukQFFugaoKy1Yqq0\/embed?start=false&#038;loop=false&#038;delayms=3000\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"960\" height=\"569\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p>Is this helpful?
